China has donated military equipment to Uruguay

According a statement published by the Uruguayan Ministry of Defense, China has donated military equipment to the Uruguayan Ministry of Defense including 4x4 ambulance vehicle. The equipment were delivered during a ceremony on March 23, 2018 under the Free Military Assistance by China to Uruguay framework signed in 2016.

The Chinese military equipment were delivered during an official ceremony on March 23, 2018 attended Uruguayan Minister of National Defense Dr. Jorge Menéndez and China Ambassador to Uruguay, Wang Gang.
Military equipment donate by China to Uruguay consisted of 10 tactical ambulances, 6 buses with 42 seats each, three motor graders, 10 loaders, and four tractors.
China has donated the military equipment for free for a value of about $5 million that it will be used mainly by the Uruguayan armed forces to perform security missions and to collaborate on civilian projects as road maintenance in urban and rural areas.
