KADDB rolls out new AFVs

Jordan’s King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) has developed two new wheeled armoured fighting vehicles (AFVs).
These are the 8×8 Al-Mared and the 6×6 Al-Faris, with both unveiled in the armoured personnel carriers (APCs) although the vehicles are designed to be readily configurable to take on other roles such as ambulance and command post.

The Al-Mared can be equipped with the locally developed Snake Head Cupola which can accommodate a wide range of weapons including 5.56 mm, 7.62 mm, and 12.7 mm machine guns (MG). It can also mount a turret armed with a 30 mm dual feed cannon, co-axial 7.62 mm MG, a roof-mounted 12.7 mm MG, as well as banks of 76 mm electrically operated grenade launchers.
