Kalashnikov gunmaker presents multifunctional robotized platform

Zala Aero, part of the Kalashnikov Group, has demonstrated a robotized multifunctional platform at the Army-2018 international military and technical forum, the Kalashnikov Media reported on Wednesday.
"Zala Aero has demonstrated a robotized multifunctional platform at the Army-2018 international military and technical forum. The scope of using the new system is unlimited," the Kalashnikov press office said.
The presentation materials suggest the robotic platform can be used to carry out emergency and rescue works, perform special operations, deliver cargoes, study and gather radio-technical and chemical information in the area of interest.
The robotic platform differs from its rivals by its system of control and video data transmission through an unmanned aerial vehicle at a distance of up to 60 km. Also, the mode of the automatic escort of the leader vehicle has been developed for the first time in the world. The platform is furnished with an electro-optical module, a gas analyzer, a dosimeter and combat systems or equipment for neutralizing munitions.
The Kalashnikov Group is Russia’s largest producer of combat automatic and sniper rifles, guided artillery shells and a wide range of precision weapons. A large segment of civilian products includes hunting and sports rifles, machine tools and instruments. The Kalashnikov Group accounts for 95% of small arms production in Russia. The Kalashnikov exports its output to more than 27 countries.
The Army-2018 international military and technical forum runs in Kubinka outside Moscow on August 21-26.
