Ukraine, Turkey to build aviation and sea platforms for defense industry



Ukraine and Turkey have extended bilateral cooperation in the defence industry complex and are considering the prospects for cooperation in setting up joint ventures in the field of construction of land-based, aviation and sea-based platforms.




This was reported by the press service of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

“At MUSIAD EXPO [the international exhibition High Tech Port by MUSIAD], Hladkovsky [First Deputy Secretary of the NSDC Oleh Hladkovsky] met with President of the Defense Industry of the Republic of Turkey Ismail Demir, during which the parties noted a significant intensification of bilateral cooperation in the defence industry complex with the achievement of real results as mutually beneficial contracts. The officials also discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation in setting up joint ventures in the field of construction of land-based, aviation and sea-based platforms, which are of considerable interest to both countries,” the statement reads.
