That 4-D Thing: Fourth test of Brahmos, world's only supersonic missile, successful - Indian Defence Research Wing:

The successful November 20 test of the air-launched version of the Indo-Russian Brahmos supersonic cruise missile marks the completion of the missile’s fourth and final variant. The missile, launched from a Su-30MKI which took off from the Kalaikunda air force base in West Bengal, set its floating target in the Bay of Bengal ablaze after a 5.5 minute missile flight time. The test was carried out a few hundred kilometres away from the Malacca Straits, through which over 60 per cent of China’s energy supplies pass. The Brahmos, jointly developed by India and Russia, is the world’s only supersonic missile inducted in three dimensions with an undersea variant awaiting a platform. “With the successful conclusion of this test, we reiterate our commitment to the army, navy and air force,” says Sudhir Mishra, CEO & MD of Brahmos Aerospace. This is a kind of assurance that few global single-product defence suppliers can take credit for.
