Ukroboronprom to cut 40% of workforce

Ukraine’s state-owned defence industrial group Ukroboronprom has announced plans to dismiss 40% of its internal workforce as part of a process of “optimisation” with funds saved to be directed towards research and development activities.
The reduction will result in up to 180 jobs cut from the workforce, Ukroboronprom announced in a statement on 29 March.
“The goal of [the] optimisation is to improve the quality of management of production and marketing processes, to create conditions for the development of industry clusters, [and] to intensify the innovative development of the [group’s] enterprises,” it said.
