DSA 2018: China’s ALIT reveals upgraded WS-32 MRS

Chinese company Aerospace Long-March International Trade Co Ltd (ALIT) has revealed that it has developed an upgraded variant of its WS-32 multiple rocket system (MRS).
A company official told Jane’s at the 16-19 April Defence Services Asia 2018 (DSA 2018) exhibition in Kuala Lumpur that the chassis of the multiple rocket launcher has been changed from a 6×6 to an 8×8 chassis, while the system’s firing capacity has been increased from 8 tubes to 10.

The system’s WS-32 rocket has also been modified. The rocket is now longer (7.5 m compared with 6.89 m) and carries a heavier and larger warhead (170 kg compared with 155 kg).
