South Korean company Hanwha Defense Systems and Malaysia’s AVP Engineering unveiled the Tigon 6x6 armoured wheeled vehicle at the 16-19 April Defence Services Asia 2018 (DSA 2018) exhibition in Kuala Lumpur.

Based on Hanwha’s 6x6 Black Fox armoured vehicle, the Tigon is aimed at Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets, with the two partnering companies currently focused on offering the platform to the Malaysian Army (MA).
“The vehicle can function as an armoured personnel carrier [APC] by accommodating up to 11 personnel, including a driver, a commander, and a gunner, and is capable of carrying out missions as part of an army’s mechanised infantry units,” a Hanwha Defense Systems official told Jane’s .
