Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has signed a EUR124 million (USD153 million) contract for the supply of an undisclosed number of Naval Strike Missile (NSM) anti-ship missiles for the six Littoral Combat Ships (LCSs) currently being built for the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN).

The contract, which was signed at the Defence Services Asia 2018 (DSA 2018) exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, is a follow-on to the agreement announced 9 April 2015 for NSM shipboard equipment, said the company in a statement, adding that the medium-range NSMs would be deck-mounted and integrated to the SETIS combat management system provided by France’s Naval Group.
