The US Navy (USN), in collaboration with Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS), has completed the final development test (DT) for the internal integration of the AGM-154 Joint Stand Off Weapon (JSOW) air-to-surface glide weapon on the F-35C Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter.

Announced on 17 April, confirmation of the DT programme completion follows a single test shot of the JSOW missile from a USN F-35C at a threat representative target at the Naval Air Weapons Station in China Lake, California, earlier this year, and paves the way for the expected commencement of the JSOW/F-35C final Operational Test Phase in the fourth quarter of 2018.
