GDOTS unveils Flyer 72 TUV

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GDOTS) has unveiled the latest variant in its family of Flyer 72 tactical vehicles at the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) in Tampa, Florida.
Called the Tactical Utility Vehicle (TUV), the vehicle has been designed as a more agile and air-transportable alternative to Oshkosh Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle (FMTV) trucks being employed by special operations units as a ‘mothership’ support vehicle.

Based on the chassis of the US Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM’s) M1288 GMV1.1 vehicle, also manufactured by GDOTS, the TUV can carry 2,700 kg of stores including fuel, specialist equipment, water, ammunition, and rations to support extended operations.
