Zetor Engineering, a division of Czech agricultural machinery maker Zetor Tractors, has revealed a prototype of its new 4×4 Gerlach mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicle at the IDEB 2018 exhibition in Bratislava
According to the company, the baseline Gerlach has a gross vehicle weight of 12 tonnes, measuring 5.65 m long, 2.5 m wide, and has a wheelbase of 3.6 m. It can climb 70° inclines and traverse obstacles and trenches that are 0.5 m tall and 0.9 m wide.
The modular vehicle can accommodate six persons, including the driver, in a noise and shock-resistant cabin with provision for up to 1.5 tonnes of stores and equipment.
