Catamaran 2018: Large Scale French-British Amphibious Exercise






More than 2,000 military personnel and 14 vesseld (including Marine Nationale's Tonnerre LHD, Royal Navy HMS Dragon and RFA Lyme Bay) from both sides of the Channel formed Task Group 471.01 for a major amphibious work-out in Southern Brittany. The two-week exercise was aimed at taking the Franco-British Combined Joint Expeditionary Force one step further. It was conceived following the 2010 Lancaster House Treaty.
