SIMFEROPOL, July 12. /TASS/. The crews of the air regiment of the Southern Military District (the Krasnodar Region), which makes part of Russia’s Aerospace Force, held a training battle in the stratosphere, flying Sukhoi Su-27SM3 and Su-30M2 fighter jets, the Black Sea Fleet reported on Thursday.
"During the flights, the pilots flying modern fighter aircraft performed combat training missions to search for and detect a notional enemy’s planes, and also held a training dogfight," the press office said."The drills were performed in solo and in pairs, in squads [from three to four planes] and groups," the press office added.During the training battle, the pilots also practiced aerobatic maneuvers, aerial navigation, piloting along the designated route, dodging destruction weapons and successfully performed landing on a notionally destroyed strip.
