Bundeswehr orders rotary-wing UAV for K130 corvette

The Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr (BAAINBw), Germany's Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support, announced on 9 August that it had signed a contract at the beginning of the month with Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH (ESG) to procure the Skeldar V-200 rotary-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for the navy's K130 corvette.

The 3 August contract, also agreed with subcontractors UMS Skeldar and Lürssen, one of the shipyards building the K130, covers the delivery of a Skeldar V-200 unmanned aerial system (UAS) consisting of two UAVs, full integration of the system into the K130, spare parts, and training of operators and maintainers.
The BAAINBw has announced that it signed a contract on 3 August with ESG to procure the Skeldar V-200 rotary-wing UAV for the German Navy's K130 corvettes.
