The new next-generation SCRAB III aerial target will be presented at FEINDEF 2019

The new SCRAB III, a state-of-the-art aerial target, will be presented at Feindef 2019 by SCR and everis ADS. This aerial target has reached a speed of 650 km / h (350 knots), which represents a significant qualitative leap in comparison with its predecessor, the SCRAB II.

SCRAB III - 3

The SCRAB III is a target drone designed by SCR to offer the Armed Forces a product that combines excellent performance in combination with competitive costs. The platform is the result of an ambitious R & D project developed entirely in Spain, at the SCR facilities in Madrid, where the manufacture and assembly of the platform is also carried out.

In addition to the aforementioned speed, the system also has an operating ceiling of 8,000 meters in height, with an operating range of 100 kilometers and a flight duration of one hour. On the other hand, it is ready to transport payloads of up to 13 kg in weight, so it is a very versatile platform, both for military campaigns and for possible uses in research and experimentation.

The SCRAB III represents the most advanced product of the SCRAB family of white targets, an international reference within the sector. In this sense, SCR has produced to date more than 350 units of the SCRAB I and SCRAB II targets, which have been used in exercises and campaigns in 12 different countries, including Spain. The SCRAB II recently participated in the latest edition of the Dardo 2018 training exercise, organized by the Combat Air Command (MACOM) of the Air Force.
