During several trips to Europe in the last six months, we have noted a significant uptick in the number of NATO political and military leaders discussing AI ’s impact on the alliance’s military capability. There seems to be a two-speed discussion going on. European defense industry officials we talked to had no qualms about harnessing AI to reduce manufacturing costs and improve customer satisfaction. But governments and institutions like NATO and the EU were having a harder time. Will AI ’s impact on society — say, in data privacy — be feared and, hence, regulated? Askeri operasyonlar için örümcek robot geliştirdiler

Kocaeli'de üniversite öğrencileri, zorlu arazi şartlarında gerçekleştirilen askeri operasyonlarda kullanılabilecek 6 bacaklı örümcek robot geliştirdi. Kocaeli Üniversitesi (KOÜ) Mekatronik Mühendisliği Bölümü öğrencileri Yiğitcan Öztürk, İsmet Hüsrev Akay, Berkay Mengüş ve Kubilay Özyalçın, Prof. Dr. Zafer Bingül'ün danışmanlığıyla bitirme projeleri kapsamındarobotik sistemler üzerine çalışma yürüttü. Proje sonunda, askeri alanda kullanılabilecek örümcek robot sistem tasarımı ve modellemesi gerçekleştirildi. Zorlu arazi şartlarına göre tasarlanan robot, 26 farklı eklemi değişik konumlarda hareket ettirebiliyor. Yerli olarak tasarlanıp geliştirilen robot, aşağı ve yukarı eksenli hareketlerde gövdesini sabit tutabilmesi ve gerektiğinde özelleştirilmiş iki bacağını kol olarak kullanabilmesi özellikleriyle literatürdeki "ilk" örneklerden biri oldu.
